Family and tradition is what life is all about, and for four generations, the Echols family has made service a tradition at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Homes. The business originated from a 1969 purchase made by Garyton C. Echols, Jr. and his wife Carol, of Arehart Funeral Home, which was established in 1954. Echols carried on the tradition of his grandfather William Chambers, who owned Chambers Funeral Homes in Washington D.C. and Maryland. Offering quality service and personal care continued to be a family affair, when Echols's sons Garyton C. Echols III and David C. Echols Jr. joined the business. A new partnership in March 2000 between the Echols family and Edward N. "Ned" Brinsfield brought into fruition a new state of the art funeral home and crematory to meet the needs of the community. The new home was opened in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, creating a third convenient location for Southern Marylanders. The home is now able to provide the best funeral services at affordable prices
